At just 17 years old, Param Jaggi developed an innovative device with the potential to change the way we think about reducing carbon emissions.

His invention, an algae-based device designed to fit on the exhaust of a car, can convert carbon dioxide (CO2) into oxygen, offering a creative solution to one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time.

As we continue our “30 Days of Celebrating Youth: Explorers & Innovators” series, we are proud to celebrate Param Jaggi’s pioneering work in green technology and his commitment to creating a more sustainable future.

Pennsylvania who built a device that clips directly onto a car exhaust pipe and converts CO2 into breathable oxygen using living algae, water and LED lights inside a small bioreactor.

The same process plants use photosynthesis happens inside the $30 filter in real time as exhaust passes through.
